Yoshio Kinoshita founded Japanese Automotive in 1994, years ago after being heavily involved in rally racing. Since then, Yoshio has become involved in tuning some of the most successful contenders in racing, from Speedvision GT Supra's to Grassroots Motorsport Teams like the SPDA Autocross Team (Subaru Performance Drivers Asscociation).

Yoshio came to Canada in the mid 80's after training at the prestigious Yokohama Toyopet where he was certified a Toyota Pro technician, at the top of his class. Yoshio has since returned to Japan to develop business relationships with many Japanese tuners and has been fully trained by Techtom Japan for custom ECU tuning and upgrades.

Yoshio is also a fully certified Canadian Class A mechanic. Through his rally racing experience and his advanced knowledge of racing technology like TRD and TOM's, he has developed expert knowledge in building race engines abd suspensions.
